A long list left

2 months exactly.

This past Saturday we went into an HSBC branch in DC to complete the paperwork for opening a UK account. I had called the international banking center earlier and requested the forms. The whole thing was really easy. When I called and said what I wanted to do, the guy told me it would be no problem. He got some basic information from me and said the forms would be sent. I got them in a week. We went to DC with them and with the documentation we needed (passport, proof of address). A woman there helped me fill out the forms, took copies of my documents, initialed everything, and put it all together to be sent out. The only bad thing was that we could not put K on the account because she did not have her passport; she's getting it renewed, so the government has it at the moment. We'll try to add her before we leave here, because I hear things like that are much harder in the UK than here. We even got to request our UK branch (we went for Belsize Park).

That's one thing done, with many, many other things left to do.
